Security and trust
Kutscene is a private browser-first short-form video maker for owned clips. The core editor is browser-local processing. Cloud, server, AI, sync, and storage routes are labeled before use so local means local.
What stays in your browser
Upload, editing, browser captions, browser voice, preview, and free local MP4 export run in your browser by default. Your source video is not uploaded just to make or download a free local MP4.
Cloud and AI routes
Optional free Groq cloud
Free Groq cloud AI may help write scripts. It is free, but it is not browser-local.
Paid OpenAI/cloud AI
OpenAI transcription, OpenAI voiceover, background removal, upscaling, and similar cloud AI routes use paid credits only after you choose them.
Pro server routes
Pro sync, server render, API access, review links, and export storage use server-side entitlement checks.
Server-assisted import
Direct owned-video links are tried in the browser first. If a host blocks browser access, signed-in server-assisted import can fetch the file after you confirm rights. The server-assisted path blocks localhost, private IPs, metadata endpoints, unsafe redirects, oversized files, and unsupported content types.
Diagnostics privacy
Support diagnostics are optional and exclude raw video content, filenames, URLs, transcripts, prompt text, caption text, and subtitles. They are meant to explain failures without sending the private media itself.
If you find an abusive share link, use the “Report this video” form on the share page or contact support.
Data deletion
You can delete exports and projects from your dashboard, and you can delete your account in Settings. Shareable exports expire and are removed automatically; you can also delete them early.
If you need help removing a shared export (for example, you no longer have access to the account), contact support with the share URL.
Responsible disclosure
If you discover a vulnerability, please report it via the Support page. Include steps to reproduce and any relevant logs.
