Kutscene is designed to keep your videos private.

Free features

Your video never uploads for free features (scene detection, split, trim, export, and local transcription).
Processing happens in your browser using FFmpeg WASM and Transformers.js.

Cloud features

If you enable cloud features (Pro sync, shareable exports, or cloud AI), the app will upload the files required to provide those features.
Token-gated cloud AI uses third-party providers (e.g., OpenAI) when configured.

Analytics

We aim to use privacy-respecting analytics (Plausible) and do not collect video content analytics.
